I see it too! But a word of warning, don't keep concentrating on all the negativity around you. By focusing on death and destruction, you will eventually weaken your own psyche and good will. Lead by example. Do good things. Tell others they should treat others as they want to be treated. It's called the Golden Rule. It's an unwritten law we should all follow! It's extremely sad to see the world acting in this manner, but all you can do is contribute your goodness, your good acts and caring towards humanity. Or advocate for some cause, like the environment or the homeless, to name a few. Help as much as you can in areas that you are able. Make some sort of contribution to the good. And hope and pray a lot that man will one day use his God-given brains that he is so privileged to have!

I am 40 yrs old and I have asked my parents the same question. They say that its not that its worse, its just that its talked about more. Dirty laundrey used to be kept in the closet. Now its very talked about. Its always been there, it was just never talked about or on the news.Don't lose faith in the good. There is far more good than bad. I work in the murder capital of the U.S. and I see so many good people in a day. Most people are good and decent and want to do the right thing. Hang in there and have Faith!

Lets put it this show, the world does not LACK evil! It does get worse and worse and people always try covering it up by saying everything is great and life is good. These issues need to be adressed immediately.

It's hard to be good, so easy to give in to temptation...
what's the difference between you being good and someone else being bad? Control. Come on, we've all had bad thoughts in our minds whatever the nature is, but we don't act on them because we know it's wrong and we are compassionate enough to consider the consequences.
Buddism teaches going without "our senses", to be closer to God, which makes sense; we don't give in to taste, sight, touch, sound and even to the point of thought.
More and more, we are giving in to our impulses, being selfish.
Somethings gotta give...
If we all controlled our temptations, then none of us would be bad and we would all live in harmony.
(Considering this, we're all in a big test from the "great fall to man")

In one word, GREED. Not being taught to wait and work for something but to expect it all and expect it now. Parents too busy earning that money for the club memberships and status cars and buying their kids anything they want to try to absolve the guilt of not being there to actually BE a parent. No one being taught tolerance of differences, whether it be between races, classes, religions, etc. Turning one's face away from any injustice witnessed instead of trying to help. Greed and self-centeredness.

Because many things were more covered up back then.
Not to mention,it doesn't help when a countries government is so screwed up and keeps complete control of their people.Think North Korea.

Because people have left the Word of God!
Because human beings have put money, power above everything.
Because they have forgotten that we must love one another and God above all.
If we turn back to God and repent, then He will answer and have mercy on us...
