I'm thinking about auditioning for season 7, I know ill make it to hollywood week(sorry if im coming off cocky), but im worried because most american idol stars end up has-beens. Is there any other way to get a record deal if you dont know anyone in the music industry ?

Make a demo and take it to every radio station you can find. Some one will play it and some one will hear it. Deals don't always land in your lap: if you want it....you have to go work for it. Go get it. Good Luck!!

Where do you live?? There are American Idol contestants all over the place, and a lot of them are winning awards. I can't believe how many are really making something of their lives.
Maybe you aren't good enough to make it, so you are putting it down. Ya think?

hey not all of them are has beens....look a Kelly she rocks....&& this year Ruben and Fantasia are comin back with some hit songs.... &&& in my opinion if you dont know anyone in the music biz already you dont have a shot because it seems like everyone in it grew up as friends or are somehow related to someone already big.... but its alwayz a chance
