I'm only asking b/c I was watching an interview of his and his teeth seemed protruding when he was speaking and when I was younger I didn't remember his teeth being so big.

Could be real. As you get older, stuff on your face and body changes resulting in an odd look for most people. Then again, he is a hockey player so they could be fake teeth.

Wayne Gretzky Teeth

Most retired players with money don't get them unless they need them though just to be clear. I think Gretzky, as another person said, got a stick in the mouth at least once the same way Lemieux got during the Penguins cup runs. Sometimes they just get chipped so they don't always need to replace the teeth. Some shaving down of other teeth to even them out works but other players aren't so lucky such as Mike Ricci who used to play for the Islanders.
