You could always transfer to a different college and your grades wouldn't follow you, only the course credit. You've already invested a lot of money to earn those credits, so if part of the reason for leaving school is money, it makes no sense to try to walk away from what you've already accomplished. You say you got a "decent gpa," so great! There's nothing wrong with that, even if you're determined to do better.

I'm no expert concerning financial aid, but before you do anything drastic like dropping out for a while, you should have a talk with the financial aid people at your school. College is always the better investment. Your "work history" will only be better AFTER earning your degree - and with higher pay. I really think you're better off staying in school, even if that means balancing work and school at the same time.

At 23, u are an independent student.. Most colleges will not let u start over unless u have been out of school 5 years though u can always retake the classes u failed. Ur old GPA will not transfer.. Let me explain, at one school I have a 3.0, at the other it's a 1.6.. I am going to school in Aug and I will start out with a 3.0.. make sense. GL

It depends. Some institutions have a grace period. If you are thinking about going back to the same institution, you'd have to contact the college. They would have a better idea.
