i just pulled it back for the first time last night, and now when i return it over the glans, the very tip still sticks out since it is not covered. is this normal?

also, it's very uncomfortable when i get an erection, since the foreskin is so tight. does this go away eventually?

you did not mention your age...you may have some scar tissue under the foreskin that attaches to the glans...now that you have retracted the foreskin (prepuce) it may have irritated the scar tissue
if the opening of the foreskin is still tight, you may have a phimosis...this make take some time to loosen up this opening to allow the foreskin to glide over the glans...if in the event that the foreskin gets stuck over the glans and WILL NOT retract,,,this is an urgency and you need to proceed to the nearest emergency department to have a urologist see you...
good luck

you may need a little sugery to make the skin a little looser so you don't have any pain when you get an erection. It is very common
i and yes , it is t is normal for the tip to still stick out, but it shouldn't hurt.
It will be even more uncomfortable with sexual activity , sO I d talk to your GP and get a rferral to an urologist

Yes, it will stretch with time. As it begins to stretch, you should try retracting and returning it over the glans when you're partially or fully erect. I think you'll find that practice becomes uh ... not unpleasant.
