I think it would depend on the case.
If a teenage girl gets pregnant simply because she was careless enough to not use a condom, and she gets her baby aborted because she doesn't want it, then no! She could have it and put it up for adoption! Or at least give it to her parents (I think that most parents would love it but I know that some would be very hateful torwards the fact that their daughter got pregnant).
It would've been her own damn fault she got pregnant anyway. She should've used a condom. That's just negligence.
But, say... If a girl got raped and got pregnant, it might be a different case... I'm not saying that would justify killing an innocent baby, but I can understand it a lot more than simply killing something that can't defend itself because of your own carelessness.
If the girl got raped and was pregnant, not only would it be physically hard for but a lot more emotionally hard for her as well. Having a child constantly reminding you of someone who hurt you inside and out might not only cause bitter feelings torwards your child but a constant pain inside.
Also it would be extremely hard for someone to go through that much all at once.
But I still think adoption is a much better choice than abortion... Hell, even having the baby and leaving it on a stranger's doorstep would be better than abortion! At least you're giving your baby a chance to live.

War is different than abortion. Sometimes war is necessary to help rid the world of evil like Saddam and Hitler. War isn't pretty, but it's not evil. Just because you don't approve of war for whatever reason, doesn't mean it's evil. Our soldiers enlist in the military on their own free will without any coersion or draft. They chose that road - to serve our country and do their duty to keep us free - free from terrorists and those that wish to destroy us. They also know that, when they enlisted, they signed up to serve and protect, not just us, but other people that are oppressed in other countries. Most countries do not have the military capability that America has to oust evil dictators and free those that are under great oppression like the Iraqis. Abortion is a personal choice that affects no one but the woman that chooses to kill her unborn child - doesn't affect the world except to say that it's one less human being that has a chance to live out his/her life because they were killed before they even entered the world. Between these two issues, you are comparing two different things - like comparing apples to oranges.

you're assuming two different things: 1-that war is a necessary evil, although this war was unnecessary, it doesn't mean pascifisicism is always correct. 2-that an adult human and a fetus or embryo are the same thing, how dare you? It is not the same thing, G.Dub dent feeling, thinking troops into war to die for no good reason, when a woman decides to have an abortion the fetus feels nothing and has no idea it's being aborted, get real and find something better to talk about.

no i believe abortion is murder and it's wrong, very, very wrong... people die in war because they chose to fight for their country and for what they believe in... they are not murdered, neither are they charged with murder when they kill the enemy... an unborn baby, however, does not choose to die and is defenseless to other peoples' decisions.... the mother that chooses abortion is a murderer not only of that precious child that they could have been blessed with but of their heart and conscience for choosing to believe it is part of their body and not alive and that they have the right to do what they want with it... it is much better to let a child live with an adopted family than to kill it before it ever has a chance to experience life... the most cruel thing anyone could ever do is purposely kill a child... and yes, a fetus is a baby too it's not some lifeless organism if it were it would grow and become a baby in the first place...... that is what i believe and nothing will ever change that...

Only incredibly rarely, when the continuation of the pregnancy will kill both mother and child (ectopic pregnancy comes to mind). In such a case, the only way (so far) to save one life (the mother's) is to kill the child.
Even in such (rare) cases, the child is not a knowing threat to his or her mother, as is the case in a war. The two scenarios cannot really be compared, unless the day comes when an unborn baby can wield a scalpel in self-defense and aggression.

I don't believe in abortion because it like a loss of life but I think it should be upto the woman only. If a man carried a baby he would cry all day long and women are by designed responsible for the child.

it's definitely not a neccessary evil like war is. war is fought, even if u don't want to. it's like when someone attacks you, and they are trying to kill u, u aren't just gonna lay down and take it. if u wanna live, u have to fight back, and in doing so kill other people. most abortions, aren't like that. girls don't want the intrusion, the nuisance of a baby. however, in rare cases the mother will die if she keeps her baby, which does make it necessary, cuz even if she stays pregnant, she might die before the child is ready to be born; however, it doesn't have the same scale that war does

I think abortion should be legal but under very very strict rules such as: less that 2 months pregnant, under specific circumstances such as rape or mental problems...
If they make it illegal, women would have abortion in not so sanitery places with untrained people. I know people who have died because the government wouldn't allow it.
Now, about war. I think war should be avoided for good, unless we are being attacked and we definitely know where the attacks come from. War=young people dying. I don't like that because I am young and I really don't want to die for some politician's unreasonable discussions and decisions

Number one, I do not think that war is a necessary evil - - - but thanks for that attempt to manipulate ne into thinking so.
Abortion is not evil, but like any other technological development, you can't put the genie back in the bottle.

To your additional comment, how do you know some people would prefer not to be born at all than being born unwanted. It's not evil, it's a relieve to people.
