Good answers so far.... Lockers are available at each of the parks... Good idea is to pack a back pack and place some of the extras in a locker... change of shoes, clothes etc. Having one of those wallets that hang around your neck is good to put some money, a credit card, DL, and one or two other things in and leave the rest in a locker...

A backpack was my best friend at our last trip to Disney/SeaWorld, etc.. I could hold everything in there, including snacks and water, plus the sunscreen and my wallet. I did put my camera inside a ziplock bag to keep it safe inside the backpack, and it was fine.
As for flip flops, I wore them each and every single day. I prefer them to all other shoes, and they were fine. I did not lose them on any of the rides and I was very comfortable.
Enjoy your trip!
In regards to your camera, the more extreme rides generally have a pouch in front of every seat to hold small items that might fall out during the ride - such as a camera, sunglasses, etc. The pouch is mesh with an elastic band at the top to secure the belongings. We used the pouches often - and left a few things behind accidentally! (Luckily the cast members were wonderful and we got everything back).

My husband and I always carry a back pack when we go to WDW. You can carry a camera, phone, snacks, water, money, and anything else you may need. We just take turns carrying it. As for the wet rides we use a ziplock bag for the camera and the phones. They work great. I don't know about the flip flop I always wear tennis shoes. What about Crocs? Those are really comfy. Have fun. I leave for WDW in 7 months and 18 days.

My husband and I always bring one back pack when we visit theme parks. We place in there our money, lip balm, sunblock, our camera, cell phones, batteries, and a sweatshirt if it gets cool. A lot of people these days carry around small wave radios to stay in touch with fellow travelers. Those just clip onto your belt. You can carry around some money with you (under $50) in a back pocket and your camera, but put the rest of your items in a locker if you really don't want to carry anything. But if you need something, you will be going back and forth.
I say bring a bakcpack and just carry it with you or trade off with someone else in your group.
As for shoes, flip flops are NOT recommended. Your feet will be killing you by mid-day because you will be doing a ton of walking and they have absolutely no arch support or cushion. Save those for the beach or water park.
I recommend Crocs sandals as the #1 theme park shoe. They are durable, lightweight, anti-bacterial, and if you get your feet wet, they dry in minutes. I know they aren't the cutest shoe out there, but they do have a new mary jane style that isn't as clunky as the beach sandal style. Tevas are also a good choice.

Get a fanny pack that goes around your waist. Put your stuff in small zip lock bags. When you go through security they will look inside. Wear tennis shoes...you will be doing a lot of walking. No, you have to keep your shoes on at all times.

put the items in a ziplock bag and then into a fanny pack. Keeps things handy and dry.

You such get something like a wallet to hang it around your neck or a kangaroo pocket and about the flip flop, my suggestion would be no because it can be dangerous.
