I know I have posted similar questions on here, but I have to ask again, is anyone else on here as sick of the Christian bashing as I am? Please stop lumping us all into the one group. True Christians love everyone regardless of sexuality. I am a lesbian Roman Catholic, which is pretty much as hard-core Christian as you can get without being Penticostal. I just wish that I could come on this site, which is something I enjoy doing, without feeling attacked by some people. No one wants to be bashed. Some so-called Christians do deserve it, but you will never get through to them, so please stop hurting those of us who are not full of misguided hatred. So, my question again is, is anyone else as sick of feeling sad over anti-Christian comments as me? We're not all bad.

I think that people feel the need to lash out at others when they are being attacked, and many of those doing the attacking are calling themselves Christians. I consider myself a Christian, but in the last 2 years I have only set foot in a church for a wedding and a funeral (Matt. 6:6 can explain). When I try to answer a legitimate question about Christianity and being gay, it seems as if I get an automatic thumbs down because my answer isn't read all the way through from some people because I mention the word Bible. Although I doubt I will get through to many of the so-called Christians, I will still answer the legitimate questions in the hopes that even if the asker disregards an honest answer that someone else who stumbles across the question will find something of value in my answer.
Just as some Christians automatically close their ears and eyes at the mention of the word gay, some gay people will close their ears and eyes at the mention of the word Christian; but in all honesty gay people rarely attack true Christians for who they are unless provoked first while so-called Christians routinely attack gay people for who they are.
Peace be with you.

I'm going to play the devil's advocate here and say that not all Christians are bad and hateful. Nor do I think that outlawing all religions is the answer. I know one person who made great use of religion and cleaned up her life. I know an Anglican who took a six-week Scientology course just so she could see what the religion was like for herself instead of going by hearsay and assumptions. She also raises money through her church for poor kids in Lesotho.
There are also groups in many religious denominations that are fighting for gay rights and GLBT-inclusiveness within their own places of worship. If you don't believe me, then go here (http://www.pflag.org/Resources.181.0.html). The problem is, it takes a huge effort to prove to people that religions has done some good and one nutbar like Fred Phelps to open his mouth just once to undo all that good.
However, to understand why some here say that there should be no religions, one has to understand the collosal amount of spiritual violence that people have endured over the centuries (the Crusades, anyone?) and still do. It's endured whether you're GLBT, Muslim, Jewish, African, a woman, or just different from their norm. Am I defending those who hate religion? No. I'm just explaining what's behind the mindset.
Whatever your spiritual philosphy, or lack there of (and all choices are legitimate), to say that religion should be outlawed is just as bad as the bible-thumpers forcing their religion down our throats. It's the same hate in reverse.

Then there is often drag racing, I luv drag racing yet while that is on an identical time as a Nascar race, i do no longer watch it. what's incorrect with lower back interior the Day, the flicks approximately Senior, highlights from the NHRA, something race appropriate rather of the crap they have on there now. Their entire venue has replaced, speed is approximately automobiles, no longer certainty B/S. JMHO

Try to look at it this way.
We know not all Christians are bad but when someone comes at us with the rhetoric we slam back.
It's not directed at the good Christians just the haters.
I'm sure that is small comfort to you but it's the best I can do.

Yeah, I'm sick of it too, but the unfortunate thing is that a non-judgmental Christian on the Y!A forums is as rare as can be. I do appreciate your kindness, though.

It's something I'd get used to if I were you, sad to say.
Many gays are highly intolerant -- even as they demand tolerance from everyone else.
I don't really care who sleeps with who -- but I'm against things like "gay marriage."
And because of this, I've been called every dirty name in the book by certain homosexuals on this site.
One of them even expressed a wish that I be hit by a bus. Another said that he/she hoped that my daughter got cancer and died.
There's a conservative columnist named Mike Adams, whose columns I often read -- one time, he said that he asked a few dozen other conservative columnists which group they get their most vicious hate mail from.
Almost all of them responded that their worst hate mail comes from gays.
I'm not surprised.

Christians who judge someone else by putting their noses into their bedrooms simply have dirty minds. That is when they need to be bashed.

I personally hate how any person of any religion could use an excuse like religion to say they hate gay and lesbian people. It's an excuse to be an *** hole, nothing more.

It is true that Christians are to love one another. However I must differ with you on your definition of Christian. A Christin is one who has accepted the Lord as his/her Savior and received the free gift of salvation. Second, the way you chose to live is your choice but I am afraid that you have made a poor one. The Bible in now way condones homosexuality. It is a distorted form of human sexuality that is not known in even nature itself. (Romans 1:23-30) Homosexuality is treated with utter disgust by God. It is grotesque to Him and other true believers. It has no part in the human race.
Yes, not all homosexuals are bad. However your way of life is. Christ pleads with you to turn from your ways and accept the free gift of salvation that he died for on the cross of Calvary. (Romans 6:23, 5:8, Ephesians 2:8-9)
