pc is more compatible and user friendly. also, its cheaper and easier to find parts for! only mac sells mac parts in most cases and you pay a premium! its like buying a cadillac or a stratus, they both take you to the same places at the same speed but one is a lot harder and more exspensive to upkeep!

MAC!!!! Microsoft is now the most invasive system on the planet. I just upgraded to Microsoft VISTA which will be on all new computers very soon. You can not even play your own music on your computer unless Microsoft media player has gone online and verified it is a licensed version. There is a long list of annoyances I came accross that you can avoid by going MAC, if you need a microsoft program to run on your mac there is software for that. Microsoft has stepped over the line. Most milicious virus writers dont care about mac or other operating systems, you will be more protected with a mac.

I prefer PC; I have no budget to outfit a Mac purchase to anywhere near a low-cost Media PC.

But my only vehemously opposing point is whatever Mac if I get to own it must run either Linux or Mac OS X, anything less than OS X expect it to crash like Windows 3.1

There isn't a blanket answer to that question.

The Mac's traditional strengths are in the creative arts: publishing, photo editing, etc. It also works out of the box with most peripherals.

The PC, on the other hand, is great if you're a do-it-yourselfer, a gamer, or need maximum compatibility with Windows files.

(Note that just because I've listed strengths for each one doesn't mean the other sucks at it -- just that its not the traditional selling point).

To simply put it: Windows-Bad security there fore more attacks of viruses and spyware, a lot of software available, good for gaming, less expensive.

Mac-Less likely to get attacked with viruses and spyware(better security), easier to use but if you have used Windows before don't worry about this, great for music, more expensive.

Overall you want a PC, preferably Vista that is coming out on the 30th. It has nice graphical and convenience features!

Why what? Do want to know which I use? Why you should choose one over the other?

???

BTW, it's Mac, not MAC (MAC is Media Access Control)

I prefer Mac myself
