Hi There; Registered Nurse here; First let my emphasis pus is never normal, always a sign of a infection. Considering you've been deal ling with this for 7 years, obviously it's a low grade infection. Having said this, it's not uncommon to have low grade bacterial infection for long periods of time, the reason it doesn't get worse, is your immune system is trying to fight the infection, however for some reason your body is not able to clear the infection on it's own. Let me suggest you cleanse your ear thoroughly with warm water and soap, then apply peroxide to your ear lobe front and back with a q-tip or some sort of swab and also remove the earring and leave it out, until you see a physician. Yes I strongly recommend you see a doctor for a pus pocket that has occurred over and over during a 7 year period needs further evaluation. You need a Complete blood count to see what your immune system is doing, also this is a strong diagnostic tool the physician uses, that can alert him or her to other conditions that might exist preventing your ear from healing.

The first answer could be right, it could be an absess which is white puss in the organs or inside of the skin. Go to doctor to see what they can do and they will proably get rid of the puss first and then give u creame to apply everyday. I think it may be infected but who knows better than a doctor? =]

I get the same things in my ear lobe piercings, I don't wear earrings in them often and occasionally they get pus and I get it out and a few months later it's pussed again. always thought it was normal.
sorry I wasn't much help.

I agree with strawberry pony, you should see a doctor. I also agree that your spelling is not an issue here. And we as health care providers, should not try to offend or embarrass one with there questions, just answer them to the best of our ability.
