I will forgive them, as soon as they are all as dead as the 3,000 civilians they murdered.

I'm not sure I understand the question correctly.
The Islamic terrorists have declared war against the United States - they have murdered, terrorized and perpetrated acts of war against the United States since 1979, finally culminating in the events of 9/11.
Forgive them?
Everytime we failed to effectively respond, it simply led to more terror and indiscriminent murder.
I guess I don't really give a damn if our "attack" is forgiven or not.

Who wants to be forgiven? Why should we care what the world thinks? As long as they fear or respect us.
World affairs are machevellian, they are not governed by playground rules. Throughout human history and until the day we become extinct it will be kill or be killed.
