Yes, if your college was accredited and it is a course also offered at your new college.
Credits can be good forever - disregard the previous answer. As a professor, I have advised students who went to college thirty years ago and who are coming back to finish degrees. As long as there is a sufficient grade (check with your school on what they accept if you got a low grade) and comparable courses are offered, it should be fine.
Others are saying what I stated is untrue, but my personal experience with three different colleges and universities tells me otherwise. Check with your school - you should have no problem with courses that current, but I can give ample examples of students, even grandmothers, who have gone back to school to finish their degrees whose credits transferred. Each school may be different, but my point is that college credits CAN last forever.

I have classes that I took in 1989 that are still being accepted. If u have been out of school 5 years, u can basically start all over but u will have to take those courses again.. As for a degree.. U can choose the degree req. that were in effect in 2004 or the ones in 2007.. If it's been longer than 7 years.. u must use the current catalog

It depends on the relevancy of the courses. Courses that have rapidly changing information, like commputer programming, will have to be up to date, but most of your general courses should still count from 2004. General education courses are more likely to keep their validity than ones that are geared specifically toward a major. You can test out of some courses, like English, if it has been awhile since you took the course, but have still retained the knowledge.

that will depend. Most colleges will accept the credits from 3 years ago as long as you are attending the same school. If you transfered they may make you take them again.

My experience was that there is a 7 year limit on credits...and that is from when you received the grade.
The professor who said that credits are good from "30 years ago" is just not true...and I'm not trying to be rude.
