To charge your iPod, simply hook it up to your computer and open up iTunes. It will automaticly charge as long as it is hooked up.
You can upload songs the same way. Make sure iTunes is OPEN though! Also, do not DOWNLOAD while you are hooking it up. it will not be transferred that time.

it depeds on ur ipod....
If it is an apple ipod u needto install "iTunes"
tht u wll get from www.apple.com
if it is a normal one just copy the songs from ur PC
u can connect ur ipod wth ur PC buy using USB data cable
abut charging ::if u have an external charger charge usin tht.
and if it is drived by a cell then use a rechargeble battery...
and recharge it using battery chargers
or else it will get automatically recharged whn connected to USB
