He is happily married man, with children. While this does not suggest that he is not gay, he has on several occasions stated he is not homosexual. However, he has also said that he would never judge anyone on their sexual preference.
Not a gay man, but a good man.
Can people deal with this?

No. Neither is Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Jack Black,Will Ferrell or Owen Wilson. Why didn't you mention any of those comedic actors, huh? They act just as 'gay' as Robin Williams does in their film roles.. Williams is an ACTOR. He is not Mrs. Doubtfire in real life. And why do you automatically think that ALL cross-dressers are gay? Huh?
Robin Williams is married to a woman named Marsha, has three kids - Zachery, Zena and Zelda (true!) - and loves women. His stand-up routines constantly refer to how he like 'big titties....."

Tom Cruise has played lawyers in at least three of his movies -- does that mean he's a lawyer in real life?
Paul Sorvino has played the role of a mafioso in more than one film -- does that mean he's in the mob?
And Anthony Hopkins playing Hannnibal Lecter doesn't mean that, in his private life, he's prone to cannibalism.
Robin Williams has apparently been married -- happily married, in fact -- to the same woman for many years.
So, despite the understandable desire on the part of gays to increase their meager ranks, Robin Williams is not gay.

I guess the question was already answered for you. He is married and I do not believe he is gay, but a wonderful actor. So why so interested? Unless you go for the older, hairier types with Attn Def. Disorder. Yeah, that must be it. :)

Actually, Since he has been married twice and is currently married I suspect he is straight. I think he takes acting roles as a gay man because he is both tolerant and not a homophobe. Not to mention it is called acting.

The last time he went into rehab, he said he did it to save his marriage. You know, I have often felt that he comes off as gay. But, hey, I have been very wrong many, many times before.

who cares if he's gay or not. it should be his personality not his sexuality that makes him famous. just because he played in gay films doesn't make him a homosexual, maybe he's just a good actor.

Honestly, who cares. It's his business who he sleeps with, not anyone else.
BTW, a lot of straights play gay characters, and vice versa.

No, if you would try watching some real tv instead of fictional shows you would find out that he is married to a woman that stands by him and they have a family.

You can never really know for sure, and he does seem very homosexual sometimes, but I think it's just because he is a good actor. He was married and quite a ladies man for a while - not that it means much. So, he claims he isn't, but who knows.
