I used to be part of an online poetry forum where you could post poems, and get feedback. unfortunately, the webmaster closed the site a few yrs ago. Now, I'm getting into short story writing. does anyone know of any good online forums where people are serious about writing and where there's a small, yet active community?

try livejournal.com
there are several communities decidicated to writing. one of the best in my opinion is writers guild. there are all kinds of different people in the group and they accept any type of writing. check it out. the nice thing is you can also set up you're own journal and keep your work private (where only you can see it), set it up where only people who have added you as a friend can see (and even customize that), or open to the anyone that reads the journal. the same applies for the community postings.

Well, I really liked www.soompi.com/forums [it's a kpop forum but there's a section called fanfiction and you can post all your literary works and have it reviewed, critiqued, read, etc.] because it offered a wide audience. Also I heard FMWriters was a very good site though I've never quite tried it.

Try a site called, Helium Knowledge. It's different. I think you'll like the perks.
