You mean USB? How long are you talking? The longest you can go is 15" before you need to add hub to to extend the distance. If you need to a further range then that it is best to set your printer up on a home network using Ethernet or wireless instead.

no, just the quality of the info being sent on it sometimes... it may reduce speed a little bit
