At some stage - yes. probably more to do with Europe and/or the economy. The only majority Protestant counties in the North are Antrim & Down (in the east), so interesting times are ahead.

That's why Sínn Féins strategy has changed to showing Unionists that we can work together here - so they have nothing to fear from a United Ireland.

Northern Ireland's borders were created in such a way that there would be a Protestant majority that would always want to be part of the UK.

Those who want NI to be part of the UK have always argued that it MUST be part of the UK because the majority want it so, while those who want it to be part of Ireland have argued that this is unfair when the borders were rigged in the first place and the only true democratic thing would be for the whole of Ireland to vote.

I'm sure someone said recently that by the number of births, the number of Catholics was eventually going to overtake the number of Protestants in the not-too-distant future and if that were so then the argument for NI being part of the UK begin the democratic thing might end.

That all assumes that a Catholic majority would all want NI to be part of Ireland - and things are much more complicated than that.

What would you do on the weekend without the prospect of a good punch up?

Cyprus will be unified before Ireland, and they won't do it this century.

i cant see it i hope that they never go back to the armalite tho the best we can hope for is power sharing the people in the province deserve a break there is good and bad on both sides and they have suffered its a beautiful country with lovely warm and friendly people
