Please help me with my pc, it is slow, freezing and it wont let me access my add remove programmes file.?

Question

I have had this laptop for all of four weeks. It has the 2007 norton anti-virus in it. I use it everyday and am always cautious about hackers and viruses but I really dont know what to look for. My computer is now running so slow I cant open an explorer page or search engine. I have Hijack this, iclean, error doctor and 07 norton. After I use HJ i have no idea what to do with the log file.. is there any point in using that? I read too many anti-virus programmes were like being in a burning house, trying to get out, all the doors are locked! Ive had scammers asking me for money, how do I know they havent hacked into my system or anything? I am a little naieve when it comes to this, I have no idea whats what. It is slow, freezing and I cant click on add/remove programmes to try and uninstall things I dont need. Why cant I access add/remove programmes? Anyone know whats going on here?

i work on computers and i see this all the time, to start with delete high jack this[ IT HAS SPYWARE IN IT ] delete error doctor [ IT DONT WORK FOR ANY THING ] , and with your computer freezing up the only way you can go to add and remove is take your computer off line then you can go to add and remove. also delete iclean , then go to pc world and click on down load and scrow down to fire wall and click on it and look for sygate personal firewall its a free down load the firewall will keep computer hackers out of your computer. good luck
