Have occasional dreams like this, disturbing! Are they normal?

Yes, they're perfectly normal dreams.

In dreams, things are very seldom exactly what they seem - dreaming of water symbolizes your unconscious and your emotional state of mind - dreaming of chirping or flying birds represents joy, harmony, ecstasy, balance, and love. and on and on.

If you are straight and you dream that you are having sex with a parent of the same sex, it doesn't necessarily signify homosexual desire, or anything incestuous....but it's more an expression of greater self love and acceptance.
We all tend to relate to, and perhaps emulate our parents - especially the one of the same sex.
You may need or want to be in better touch of your feminine or masculine side, perhaps by paying more attention to how your parent behaves or runs their life.

What is it about your mother / father that you respect or look up to? That may be what you're trying to "absorb".

To see your mother in your dream, represents the nurturing aspect of your own character. Mothers offer shelter, comfort, life, guidance and protection. Some people may have problems freeing themselves from their mothers and are thus seeking their own individuality and development.

To dream that you are having a conversation with your mother, denotes a matter that has preoccupied your mind and you are not sure how to deal with it in your waking life. It indicates unresolved problems that still need to be worked out with your mother.

To see your father in your dream, symbolizes authority and protection. It suggests that you need to be more self-reliant. Consider also your waking relationship with your father.

I hope this helps a bit...

I have no idea if others have such dreams or not. I never have so can't help you.

I do think there must be something behind the dream so really take the time to think about your relationship with your parent.

No I am not saying something is bad, just that you need to understand why this happens.

Usually dreams have something to do with something you saw earlier that day.Perhaps you saw something very unusual...
But then again, in a dream you can picture anything.Having a dream like that probably wouldn't be that common, but I dont think anything is wrong with you.

yes, the longer I go without sex, the greater the possibility of having the dream.
