Go to your GM dealer parts dept. and get a product called Silicon Emulsion. It is in a light paste form and the applicator is with it attached to the cap. That is what it is made for. Go around all the door seals with it including the trunk seal. This not only prevents freezing, It keeps the rubber seals soft and plyable preventing cracks and hardening of the seals. . Silicon Emulsion is the best thing since sliced bread for this problem. Make it a annual chore, only takes a couple of minutes to do and not expensive.

Its not the latches that freeze it is the rubber seal around the door that sticks. If ya can clean and dry them spray silicone spray on the rubber gaskets and if ya can't then just wipe as much dirt off and sray the silicone on the door seals and it will repel the water and keep them from freezing
