Dell laptops have a new operating system, right?.. but the thing is, i ordered the latest which says Centrino Core 2 Duo but the sticker on the laptop says Centrino Duo.. so did they install the wrong system for me, or is it supposed to be that way.
Also, my hard drive which was upgraded to 80GB, when i checked, is actually only 67GB or lower.. so should i launch a complaint, or just let it be??

Dell models are all different in hardware wise. When I ordered my Inspiron 6000 they had Centrino mobile, Celeron M, and Pentium 4 for different models. You have to choose the laptop with that processor or pay more to have it in a different model. I am sure you got the right one they might just not put its core 2 duo. Regards to the hard drive Windows XP takes a fair amount of space and other things Dell installs that is why there is not actually 80GB of room. No matter what hard drive you get there will not be full capacity. Hopes this helps

Centrino Duo and Core 2 are the same thing according to the Dell website.
As for the memory, hard to tell with laptops (I specalise with desktops) but around 7-10GB is taken up by the operating system and pre-installed application.

However 80Gb down to 67GB is a long drop so it can't help to question dell about it. Send them a free email to check (not complain) or talk to a technical for a small free at:

Sorry I missed the word email out..
