I can sing so much better for some reason whenever I have a cold, I thought it was supposed to be the other way around...is this weird?

It could be a few things. One is that when you are sick, you can't strain your voice as much because you don't have the energy. Less extra tension = Better Sound. It could also be that your ears are hearing different because of excess mucus, blocking multiple passages in your head, and you just think you can sing better.

Maybe you like that gritty, hoarse sound when singing and you can't reproduce it very well when you are well, oh well.. WEll, get well soon..
