ABC said no such thing. The D.C. police said no such thing. Where oh where are you getting your information? What I find really funny is that the "organizers" are circulating a photo showing a huge crowd that stretches all the way to 16th street, on a very sunny day. The day of "the march" it was overcast, and the crowd barely stretch to 3rd Street, according to locals. And buildings erected in 2004 are not present in the photo.

I couldn't be there but I was there in spirit. I support everyone who was there. Although some may say by supporting the Anti-War protesters that you don't support the troops(something Bush and his whole republican base made up). I support the troops and wish that they all come home safe , but I just don't support this trumped up war!

Typically, those who disagree with the protesters, immediately focus on Jane Fonda and the other celebrities who attended the rally. I guess they don't notice the "tens of thousands" of other protesters. I wonder who they all were. They can't all have been "has-beens"& "traitors".
Maybe they were ordinary Americans who believe in freedom of speech.

I would have been there myself, but it happened to fall on the same day as our newly elected democrats held a meeting in our town, I did voice my positions on issues and yes Iraq happened to be one. I see it this way, we the tax payers are paying for this war and this government has alot of government contractors and they and our leaders are getting rich because of this and we don't hear about it, I think their financial records need to be made public. I say bring our troops home now and let the hired government contractors who are no more than hired murders fight the leaders battle and tax and collect back taxes from each company, and individual wether serving overseas or not they are still being paid by us citizens there for a 50% tax would be reasonable. Bring the troops home now and let them do the job in each and every country they are in. How did they aquire their fire power, they have more than just rifles, they have LAW's, gernades, and fully automatic weapons just for starters, did they get them illeagally, if not I should have the same opportunity as I am a disabled veteran and a tax payer of the United States. Why is it when they get in a jam that the US Military is expidated immediately to bail them out. When I served we had our own cooks, washed our own laundry, did not have Mc Donalds and the like. This is what the military should go back to, after all does it cost more to pay a real military person or a government contractor? What is $35,000.00 compared to $100,000.00, where is the savings. These contractors are nothing more than cronies to the Bush Administration and big oil, and Bushs cronies. Contact your congress person and senators and let them know where you stand on this and demand one that the contractors finish and to bring out troops home immediately!!!!!

Yes I will. I will march for what I believe in and although I pray for our troops every day, I still believe we were lied to as were they. I know that they are doing their duty and I appreciate it but what IO don't appreciate is the fact that we were lied to, we have sent many people over there to fight a war that we should not be in and they are dieing every day. So yes, bring the march to my area and I will be at the front of the line.

I would have been there if I could have been. I have a right to my opinion just as the rest of the US citizens do.

Not if they paid me ----- what a bunch of warmed over has-beens. All you have to see is Hanoi Jane , Danny Glover, Sean Penn and the rest of the ususal suspects out there yelling about our troops and how awful our president is. Doesn't anyone remember what a disgrace she was in Viet Nam?
