Small ordinary snapping turtles are mostly carnivorous, but some of them will take occasional vegetable matter. What kind of small ordinary turtle are we talking about?

My turtle eats pellets but he hasnt had them in a while because I buy him feeder shrimp, there small enough for him to eat and he can get a work out chasing them lol and also if you get feeder shrimp they acutally clean the tank for you, as in they eat the dirt thats in the tank, so maybe try them?

We have several small turtles and we've always fed them reptile food (they look like tiny pellets) that you can find at most pet stores such as PetSmart.
