I'm doin research on this and want to find out more about this group. all i have ainly is that they are a highly secret society and that they can be traced with some of the most known things like the all -seeing eye on the back of the $1.00 bill with a latin phrase around it along with the statue of liberty. i don't know if that is true but i would sure like to know more about this secret society if anybody knows anything.

You have a real treat in store - read _The Illuminatus! Trilogy_ by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson. For a smallish discussion of the book's weird mind-bending premises and reasoning, see the Wikipedia article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Illuminatus!_Trilogy

So much mystification and falsehood has been deliberately written about the Illuminati that it's well-nigh unto impossible to state with any assurance what's actually true.

If a good rule of thumb for most secret-society conspiracy theories is to discount all tales by 90%, I'd advise a factor of 99% for this one. But it's tremendous fun.

You won't find out much Matt. That's why it is a secret. I will say this. They are the most dangerous group on the Earth today.
