You are just as delusional as he is. For three and a half years he kept telling us that his plan was working and that we were winning. A month ago he finally admitted that his plan wasn't working and that we were not winning.

Get with the program and get up to date.

Hopefully you will get at least a few serious answers. I understand being against the war, mourning those who died, and generally all associated emotions.

But I have also wanted some explanation of why HATE is the only emotion I seem to hear. I'm opposed to the war , & disagree w the President on several other issues, but have no HATE for him.

What moves folks to hate? Not trying to offend , just get a feel for why fellow Americans I would probably be friends w feel hate is the answer, & if hate is the emotion of choice for any person not in agreement? Thanks for any thoughtful replies...

Late edit-Agree on name calling, keep it civil ! Listening to Pink, however enlightening won't elicit hate from this liberal Dem, & reading a blog doesn't always give truth.

I don't believe that people hate the man personally. I believe that people hate the fact that he engaged the US military in a conflict that he knew was based on a pack of lies. As a result of his decision over 3,000 US troops have needlessly lost their lives, the family members of those fallen troops have had their lives irreversibly damaged, and thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians are dead. And for what? WMDs? Never found 'em. Because Saddam used a little gas on his own? What about Johnson and Nixon's use of Agent Orange? I think people are pissed because this is yet another classic case of the pot calling the kettle black.

A man who promotes war will always be a horrible man in my eyes. Iraq was fine before the Americans came over there. Yes, they had problems, but what country doesn't? Iraq DID NOT ask for our help. Now the death toll over there is rising and in America thousands of parents are losing their sons and daughters, and children losing their parents.

You should listen to the song "Dear Mr. President" by Pink. Maybe then it will open your eyes to all the horrible things President Bush has done.

Think about this. A person cannot drink until they are 21 years of age, but an 18 year old person can go over to Iraq and die. THINK about that. You are more likely to die in Iraq than die of alcohol poisoning. I don't know about you, but there's something wrong with that in my eyes.

If you had a son or daughter who went over to Iraq and was tortured slowly and you knew they died a horrible, painful death, would you be so supportive of Bush then? Would you think, "Oh, well, it's okay that my child died alone in a most painful way because our President thinks it's okay while he sleeps peacefully at night, knowing his children are safe and sound."

See through the eyes of somebody else who has lost so much because of the war. See through their eyes and maybe you'd understand.

Reply to SantaBud: I doubt that SantaBud will read this but I decided to reply just so the asker could understand why I said listen to that song. No, I know it won't elicit hate. Nothing will elicit hate.

I was simply saying that because I felt that the asker should listen to that song, I think she made some very good points in her lyrics about all the pain and loss he has caused. I did feel it was enlightening, but of course, that could just be me.

Also, just so the asker knows: I don't hate President Bush. I don't even know the man, how can I hate him? But I am strongly against what he has done as a President, and in general, I don't think he has done a good job. It just seems to me that he has done a lot more harm than good.

I, too, don't understand why people would say they 'hate' him (people should probably say that they hate the war or disagree with his views or something but hate seems to make anything worse...).

I just hope that you would see and maybe look through the eyes of the victims of war before you go and say his plan is working or that the war is good or anything of the sort.

why do people like bush? i dont hate him but i think hes not the best of presidents. sending 20 000 more troops to iraq is the stupidest plan yet. he should have come up with a plan before we went in there.

This the dumbest president in the history of this country. Reminds me of Charles E. Neuman.

I guess because his plans have always worked in the past. that's why he has so much of the people's trust. All that but in reverse.

Sad thing is..you are absolutely correct. He is smarter than we thought and his "plan" is working to the detriment of the American people.

Don't call names, it makes your argument weak.

If liberals couldn't complain, then they would have to be happy with what they have. We know that's not possible, so the best thing to do is ignore them
