At present rate of exchange a US dollar is worth about 50 pence in UK money. so to convert from dollars to pounds sterling simply divide by two .
So 4400 divided by 2 approximately equals £2200, I think. But never was much good at maths.

As a rough conversion, 2 $US are worth 1 £ Sterling
