I know how you feel. I have always hated being tall. I am 5'10". Your growth rate should slow down. I am sorry but you are already taller then the average girl. I started smoking when I was 16 because I heard it would stunt my growth, it did NOT so please don't try. I am married to a man who is 6'3".

Girl don't worry. I'm thirteen and I'm 5'9 and 1/2. I was probably your height when I was your age but you'll stop growing soon. My doctor says that I should only grow half an inch to an inch more so no- you won't end up being ten feet tall. I felt the same way. And don't worry, there are boys taller than you. And If they aren't they will be by high school. I'm in 9th grade now (I skipped a grade) and at first it was so annoying that I was like at least three inches taller than most boys but once i looked around, i found that there were actually some taller than me. lol

You may be almost done growing but who knows you could grow more. I have a female 2nd cousin who is 6ft. There is nothing wrong with being tall I’m 5’9 myself , a close friend of mine is 5’11. I think average height for a female is around 5’3. I use to hate being tall but then I realized how many really cute tall guys were out there. They say that people are getting taller I imagine eventually average height will move up some.

Well, unless you shrink, you'll be that tall (or taller) for a pretty long time. I would kill for your height... I'm only 5 feet tall! Being tall is a blessing! Does your head hit the top of an archway when you walk through it? Do you have to bend your head so that you aren't pressed against the ceiling? I think your answers will be no. Those things are made for average people, so you are already average! You're lucky!!!! :-)

You aren't going to just spontaneously shrink, if that is what you mean.
I'm about 5'8 myself. Be thankful for it. It might feel weird now, but being tall has its advantages. You will carry weight better.
I wouldn't worry about ending up a circus freak or something. At 12, a girl isn't likely to grow much more. Between 12 and 16 (I never got any taller after 16), I only grew about two inches. Don't sweat it. You've done most of your growing.

Maybe you will one day. Dont worry ur not alone. Im 12 too except I'm 5'7. I'm in the seventh grade and I go to a elementary school. I think I'm the tallest student in the school. I feel like an outsider and people always commented of how im SO tall, which is starting to get annoying. Worst thing is, our school forced every1 to do ballroom dancing and we get chosen partners to dance with. No guy wants to dance with me cuz im soo tall which hurts sometimes but I try to ignore it and say to myself "ha ha, theyre suffering and gonna be made fun of cuz theyre dancing with a tall girl" theyre probably get made fun of but not me cuz im a girl. So I try to turn around the situation. the point is, you gotta deal with your height and like it. Think about it, its awesome being tall, u get more advantages
+ get to go on more rides at amusement parks
+ u would be good at basketball well blocking
+ lots of models are tall so you can be one
When ur tall, u stand beneath them all. You stand out the most out of the crowd so you shouldnt be ashamed, be proud of you height :)
Hope you reply on this message board soon

My best friend was 5'8" when she was 12. She only grew an inch after that. She is now 19 like me, and I am so envious...She is so tall and elegant (not to mention, she has a fantastic figure). Dont worry, your body will get more proportioned and soon girls will be wishing that they had your height. Dont be ashamed of your height!

There are a great many benefits to being tall. That and it is nice to be different (IMHO). You are (we all are) a unique individual. Cherish it!
My daughter is your height and about your age. She will be a tall person in later life.
I (as a Sasquatch) am only 6'2" which is short for most Sasquatch! Too bad I can't handle a basketball. Maybe you can???

Well, normally, if you are taller than other kids your age, you'd slow down after that and other kids will catch up and everyone will be happy :) Oh and I'm jealous! I want to be tall! Average height maybe. Hehe.

so you are tall! a lot of people want to be tall. take a look at athletes, models, etc.
If you think you are growing too fast, you can check with your doctor. But, otherwise, give it some time. The others will catch up to you.
Best wishes, dear!
