ok, to all those that say this guy is living under a rock...
There has been a case where a pedophile was jailed for 8 months, while a man who shot an intruder who had beaten his son, raped his wife and was about to stab him, (in other words, self defense to the max) got 15 years.

This happens all the time.

I don't know why. I don't understand it. It makes me sick.

I say put them in with the normal jail population and let them get what they diserve.
Why should they be protected when they steal the innocence of children?!

As far as it being a sickness..... If I have a cold, I go to the doctor and get whatever help I can to get over, or control my illness.

This being a mental illness is no excuse.
Go to a frigging psychologist and get some help before you ruin some innocent childs life.

I'd like to know who's viewing child rapists thru passionate eyes so I can sew them shut. What rock are you living under? I'd gladly give the shirt off my back to a thief or robber before a pedophile. HOW or what made you come to this conclusion?

Specifics, please. Who is doing the looking upon? What pedophiles are you talking about? Are you talking about convicted child rapists? Child pornographers?

The simple answer to your leading question is it's highly unlikely that you'll find anyone feeling warm and fuzzy for pedophiles, except maybe other pedophiles and perhaps people who are trained to try to help pedophiles stop their harmful and predatory ways.

And to originalpuppycat, I would love to see the facts about these cases that you mention. Maybe a link to a newspaper story or court case? For your sake I hope you didn't hear that on angry talk radio. Sounds like pure BS to me.

Well, that is an interesting statement. I was surely unaware of that.
However, I will say this: Being a pedophile, is a mental disorder. And it needs to be treated.
Theifs and robbers?.....just selfish disresptful, angry people who do these illegal acts, with premeditation.

They are NOT!! Don't know where you got your info at. You hear all the time that when they go to prison the fellows in there take care of them real quick, and not in a nice way. It is NOT a disease, it is a possession and these people can be set free and live normal lives again.

Just shoot em. Islamic Fundamentalists and Christian Fundamentalists are the worst of the lot, just shoot em, or wait, takes too many bullets, we can build showers and place cyanide in them.
The further we get from Humanity the closer we become to what we hate the most.

gee, where do you think that happens? I don't think it does.

However, playing devil's advocate: compassion? Well, first of all pedophilia is a compulsion that many of them hate that they have. Theft, however, is a calculated choice, rarely a mental disorder.

Not me, I think they should be placed in a room, with just the family of the child, and let them have their revenge.
