First of all, life is a gift. We all have a purpose in life. It is my understanding that if you take your own life you will not have a pleasant afterlife, but if you live your life right and believe in yourself and in God then you will have an amazing after life. Some people even get another chance to make a difference. You may make a difference in someone Else's life wouldn't that be wonderful? We all have hidden gifts and if you love yourself and believe that you are truly a good person you won't have the worry about what comes after death, because you will know what to expect. God will provide you with this information, all you would need to do is ask.

I believe in the after life; Whether it be in spirit or another life. But i also feel that to be better off in the next life, you have to be a good human being in this one. I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy at present. But make an effort to be happy. I recently went through a horrible ordeal that made me feel like my life was not worth living. But now I know that life is not always good nor always bad. Whatever problem you're facing at present will come to pass. But learn from it & I'm sure you will be happier in the end. Before you move on to an existance after this, try to make the best out of this one; do good & better things are bound to come your way.
Best of luck & tc

They say death and taxes are the only real guarentees in life. But for me, the thought of life everafter propels me forward. We'll never really know till our end. What would it take for you to have a better life here on earth? You say you're lonely, would volunteering somewhere with adults or children make you not lonely any more. You might realize how valuable you are, and make differences in other peoples lives. I used to read books to the kids on the pediatric ward. They used to look forward to me coming down on my lunch break. Often times they would already be waiting in the playroom. I also worked with the elderly in a nursing home. They got a kick out of beating me at checkers or cards, and I enjoyed hearing their tales of life. Good luck to you.

I think this is a deep question to ask... A lot of people may tell you things that you don't want to hear because this is not just a psychological question, but a spiritual one as well - and I think we all know that there are just some things you don't discuss with others (esp. ones that you don't know)... politics and religion!
What one person finds to be truth, another person may not... so good luck with finding an answer... This is something where people can tell you all kinds of things and give all the opinions that they want -but in the end you have to make the decision on what you believe.
Me personally... there is one God, one Messiah... and He PROMISES of a better existence - but it's up to you to choose it! To choose to live for Him since He died for you!
Best hopes!

Dude,
Why take a chance of uncertainty ? The only thing for sure right now is that you are alive. It may not be the happiest time you have. But you can still make changes to it. Do your best to change your live for the better and enjoy every second and minute of it. There may be never a second chance. No one can tell you that.

You will not go to a better life. When you die it all ends, it is over. That is why the different mythologies have come about, to deal with peoples fear of the unknown and what happens when we die. Hang in there.

There never has been existence insurance.
So while you're here, try to remember that a lot of other people are lonely. They don't have your experience in life, and even though it's boring to you, it might be interesting and uplifting to them. People who suffer from depression and still fight it are as inspiring as people who survive cancer.
Please contact a social service network and volunteer. There are people you can learn to love who really need you.

I'm sorry to say this to you, but there are no guarantees in life. There is only faith, love, and trust. If you focus on being the best person that you can be, you won't have anything to worry about.
