As, I look back on my own life...the best of times were childhood, so many great days, summers spent at the seashore. Visiting my grandparents on Sundays for the whole day, and to end the day, dinner everyone at the table for our Italian feasts. My early school years spent so diligently memorizing facts, facts & more facts...If some one would just ask me the million dollar question: What were the names of the three ships Cloumbus sailed the ocean blue ? The Nina, The Pinta & the Santa Maria...every past day for me is the good old days..not because I've lived a life without strife. But because as each day ends I know I'm one day closer to not being here. On amazing planet earth, ( its just a simple fact of life, no one lives forever !) where Yahoo land exists. And, inquisitive minds ask wonderful questions like this ! These are the good old days !

theres best of times all around. there could be some that happened in the past and some to come in the future! they never end. life is full of the best times and some bad times. ppl just get used to it and dont go fully out when the BEST times are right around them and they dont even notice.

Early twenties....went out with a girlfriend to dance clubs several nights of week - danced, partied, drank, got home late, got up and went to work anyway, didn't have a care in the world!!
Now I'm 28 and married and while I love it - those days of being reckless and not worrying about a thing were simply priceless!!

All the time. Time is a saucer. Externalities slosh around in it, and we can slosh with them or not. When we refuse to be pushed around by them, we can largely potter at our own pace. Then, when we respond to a deadline or some "outer value" we can recognise that it is our own -- and the time is ours to spend on it. So all of it is ours to be truly alive in. As the Buddhists say "When you're sweeping, know you're sweeping". That makes everything part of the rapture.

By now the summer of 2001 before September 11 seems halcyon and free compared to now by a millionfold. Yikes!!!

For me it was the 60s and 70s halfway through.
Mind you, today is the best of times, and it's the worst of times! ;-)
