Yes it is true if you have someone that would do anything in the world for you and then something happens and you split up,and you meet someone else that doesn't even compare to what you had before, and the person you got now won't do half the things you had in the previous relationship, you think you lost the best thing that ever happened to you.

Usually this is very true... Alot of times we as humans do not cherish or realize what or how good we have it or something in life until it is gone... Then it is too late and you wished you had it back... It is called regrets... This is why we really should be greatful and thankful for the good things and people in our lives relationships and marriages and work on what we have and cherish it and hold onto it....

My take on that is that people don't realize how much that person meant to them until they are gone - whether it be through a break-up or a death. And all of the little nit picky things aren't the things that you think about it is all the good times and the little things that got on your nerves are endearing to your heart when you lose a person because all you have left is memories.

Yes, you get used a person. We quit appreciating the things that attracted us in the beginning. We let our guard down and get out of the trying to impress stage. We think the grass is greener on the other side but only realize when its too late that what we had was better than we thought.

Some people only focus on the negative things. For instance...my friend constantly complained about her boyfriend...asking her for money...he couldn't keep a job...he was rude sometimes, etc. etc. He recently was killed in a car accident and now that he is gone she is realizing that there was a lot of nice things he did for her that she failed to realize. Unfortunately now that he is gone is when she realizes it.

yes i'd say it is true. you dont really know what you got til its gone. its like after they are gone you actually miss what you had with that person. and now that you have nothing, when you had that person you were whole and alive and everything. now its like a part of you is missing. a chunk of your heart broke off.

This is so true sometimes we take things for granted or think were "owed" something. Then when its gone we realize we were so stupid for thinking like this but then its too late.

What you realize is that if you worked at things differently with the one you had, things would have been different. Its only after you lose your love you think about this. So you realize what you could have had. Its not about the person you lost its about you.

lets just say you are married to a good man. everything is going great. well you start to get used to it and forget that you love him and start changing towards him. he tries to do what he can for you and then he leaves you. that is when you will know what you had was a good thing. you will really miss him and wonder why you were so stupid to let him go or treat him as cold as you did.
