Does your home have a mortgage on it? If so how long have you been in the home? You might try looking into a refi equity cash out. This is were you refinance your original mortgage: and depending on the amount of equity you have in your home you can pull some down to make home renovations, consolidate bills or for travel. I would suggest contacting Countrywide home loans for a consultation. They also have a subsidiary Fullspectrum that will work with homeowners with less than perfect credit. Hope this helps.

Try Rebuilding Together, they do home repairs for people with low income. Sometimes Habitat for Humanity will do it, but mostly they will refer you.
