I. King Jordon, the first deaf president of Galludet, said that. If you are going to talk about Deaf culture, you need to make sure you capitalize Deaf. When you use a lowercase d you are talking about medically deaf. There is a very big distinction.

I am deaf myself. Depend on how you mean? Are you asking if deaf people are able to do things as what the hearing people are able to do things except not hear in the same wavelength of same tone of hearing like pitch tone, etc. I will be happy to give you more insights of it- email me.
