Unfortunately, not many places hire 14 year olds, and if they do, well, the pay's normally pretty bad.

However, tutoring & babysitting are two good choices, especially tutoring. I tutored last year when I was 15 and made 15 bucks an hour (but most people charge 20, I was doing it for someone I knew). Babysitting won't pay as much per hour (6-10 most of the time), but you'll probably get more hours of work.

Camps also sometimes hire 14 year olds as counselors or CITs, so if she wants a summer job, that could work. However, salary is often VERY low (trust me, I know from experience...), so I'd recommend that she tries to find somewhere that gives "tipping sheets" to the parents that provide recommended tipping amounts. (As a 14 year old, I made about 300 in tips for a summer, but no salary)

Beyond that, she probably doesn't have many choices. If any family members needed a secretary or waitress or something though, that's always a good choice.

Something that pays good, is part time and you don't need any education or experience? Hey, if you find out, LET ME KNOW!

They could start their own house cleaning services, you get cash, can charge 30 bucks per room but you have to do an EXCELLENT job (especially in the bathroom around the toilet). Tell them to go door to door in their neighborhood, or ask older people, or put up flyers at supermarkets, free ads in some papers, etc.
