I finished watching it a couple of hours ago - I thought it was brilliant, one of the few movies to have me laughing out loud when on my own. And like many good social comedies they had the balance between farce and pathos perfectly judged. I didn't actually cry at the Dwayne scene, but I wasn't far off. Great movie.

I didn't cry but I could sympathize with his character. My biggest dream was to be in the military and when I was 9 I had a bad seizure and since then I have been on medicine for them.Even though they are not the normal kind where you go unconcious. You have to be seizure free and free of meds for at least a year to get in.And I will probably never be.

I didn't cry, but I almost came close to. But I did feel sorry for Dwayne when he realized when he was color blind.

Of course I cried. It was great that he
showed how he felt about his family
though. Suicide, theft, and other stuff
he said I can't quite remember. Too bad
I have to give bad the DVD tomorrow. I got
it from blockbuster. Well, it was pretty sad...

That was sad, but I didn't cry. It was interesting that he realized how meaningless his vow of silence was at that point.

Great movie. I hope Alan Arkin wins the Oscar.

basically..it served him right..he's a complete jerk and got served back a little bit of his suckiness when his dream was ruined..anyone who would cry about it obviously has no sense of judgment and cannot deal with reality. QED.
