I guess it makes the contestants act (gamble) more boldly, or could it be to affect the viewers of the show?

Donny Deutsch had the winners from this show on his show about two weeks ago. One of the contestants said they go to the show dressed in their own clothes, but that wardrobe actually picks out the clothes for them to wear on the show.

Good question! With that in mind, maybe the way to tricking the dealer is to act and dress in an opposite manner?
