A dyne is a gram*cm/s/s.

So if you are talking about calculating the weight in dynes of a mass in grams, say 5 grams for example,

W = 5grams (980 cm/s/s) = 4900 dynes

Honestly gram can't be parsed to dyne, but I think you mean gram weight.

1 gram weight = 980.667(approx) dyne

Explanation:

1 gram weight = force of gravity on 1 gram mass = mass* gravitational acceleration = 1*980.667 (in equator approx.) = 980.667 dyne.

The value of gravitational acceleration, and thus value of 1 gram weight to dyne will change place to place. Keep this in your mind to determine gravitational acceleration in the place of experiment.
