hi i have samsung x495 i got it unlocked from t-mobile cs.. i sent my phone to a friend in asia . there he says that when he puts a sim card there is no reception. can u tell me wat should i do.. it worked with t-mobile but not wid other even though its unlocked

It might not have been unlocked for all carriers. Just tell your friend to take it to their wireless provider and they should have no problem unlocking the phone for their company for him to use.
It could also be that, that phone is not the right technology for that area of the world... like tri-band, dual-band, etc.

hey ive got that same phone! i know what he needs to do.
go to the main menu
go to settings
go down to #9 network service
go down to band selection and change it to another band and see what happens im pretty sure it will work
