There's a larger ascii character set that you can find tables for. If you hold down the control key and enter a number, you'll get the character.

See! Try holding down alt and typing in three digit numbers, then release the alt key.

Hold down the ALT key then type 0183 on your keypad.
It can't be the numbers on the main part of your keyboard.
