HI,

A good subject and in the news lately, Why are we sending 17 yos to jail/prison and having them register for 25 yrs as sex offenders??

Sex, related to marriage, some states allow you to marry under age 16, and 1st cousins. The laws have changed over the years.

There is no purpose for these laws, unless it is rape, then I agree punishment at any age should be done.

Consenual Sex at any age and under age sex with each other should not be pursued.

They wonder why we are filling up are jails and prisions. This is a cost to all of us. A guy who has to register for 25 yrs will not be able to get jobs, be looked down on, cursed, and deemed a child molester etc... This is not reasonable and just punishment.

Punishment does not meet the crime!!

I have one for you:

Individual integrity - how strong are my inner beliefs? Am I willing to stand beside them in the face of staunch opposition and open hostility? Do I fold to conform to the masses, or do I remain unmoved and steadfast in my beliefs which define my character?

Pro-choice vs. Pro-Life
Death Penalty vs. Life Imprisonment
Right to Die vs. Suffering a long, debilitating disease process

Ethics is fascinating...enjoy your class. It was one of my favorites.

-having children then shoving them into child car asap
- speeding fines being the same, ie no income balancing ($150 means nothing to someone who can afford to drive an expensive car or who earns lots) ... for a low income person this means going without essentials for the rich it means not one thing

how many would you like? ;-)
