Yeah finally an American that is a real Patriot, and quoting one as well. Good Golly, what an incredible phrase. Yes Teddy Roosevelt tried to convey the thoughts of the fore fathers and achieved much ground to substantiate our existance through loyalty, bravery, honesty, and honor. One hell of a Rough Rider as well eh? ha ha Bully Bully, Bravo to you a commendable Q and A perfectly describes to some of us you clearly get it? And there are many others out here that do as well, without further ado. But now the problem is getting them to read and adjust their thinking to our thoughts just a little, like a reed in the wind they need to bend. Be an oak when in times of adversity from the enemy but we the people should not ever seperate and we must convince our brethren and sisters here that we are not the enemy because we disagree on tactics or petty issues as well. We need to unite and fight the tyranny out there and fight it within our own borders, and place it all back in place and then there will be no precedence laid to enforce that Patriot Act. And for the eminent domain issues on the government taking our lands? We can stop them if we unite and gather the evidence that proves that some within our own government positions are guilty of profiteering and they are clearly white color criminals and clearly in conspiracy to make profits off our tax dollars and if it goes further on up to the White House then so be it and we will make them pay but not this anarchy or the Congress will not have a choice but to declare Marial Law. Just unite and have faith and patience and make it work for us, like they do for themselves. Maybe Cheney is a guilty party and Bush also but we need proof and right now is not the time or issue, we have them where we want them and Congress may be Dems but they are so divesified we can depend on them to ponder and work it out if we don't start chaos on our own and act like anarchists. Believe me they are afraid and they are selfish too as all of us in a way they want this country to work but how is the answer? We need to pay close attention to the Congress and be willing to work it out the peaceful way and control their fears of us as well. Thank you for listening. And Good luck

God bless Teddy. We need more people like him.

And for whomever called Jesus a pacifist, He preached that we should love and forgive one another. However, He told the Pharisees that they were liars and hypocrites, He didn't back down when accused, He didn't shrink away from what He had to do, and He gave his life to save the world.
"Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which is he is willing to fight for, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a misearable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

a pacifist would have ignored what was done to our country on that fateful September day and, in my estimation, our President would have been derelict had he not fought back!

I do not believe that violence is a legitimate way of showing one's loyalty and love for one's country. To not believe in war as a solution to global political or economic problems is not cowardly or disloyal. To be a pacifist means to believe that disputes between nations can be solved non-militarily, non-violently. I see nothing cowardly or dishonorable in that.
