I've always liked Liza and think she's great in everything she does. It's a tough choice to single out any of her movies as my favorite since I like them all. If I have to make a choice I'll say
"TELL ME THAT YOU LOVE ME, JUNIE MOON". The reason I choose this movie is due to the fact it left a tremendous impact on me. It's a great movie but under-appreciated. Since Liza's career is mostly in the Musical comedy venue this sensitive drama is unfortunately unknown or forgotten by most people. I was very young when I first saw "Junie Moon". I remember being shocked to see a pretty young girl's face disfigured with battery acid. Since this scene was at the beginning of the movie I kept thinking to myself "This girl's life is ruined, it's over. How can the movie continue?". Of course the movie did continue and Liza gave a brilliant, sensitive performance as a courageous woman who battles prejudice and pity in her struggle to come to terms with her deformity and lead a normal life. I feel the movie is an inspiration on overcoming hardships and to gain control of your life. It bothered me that Liza didn't get an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Junie. She gave a winning performance in the film. I highly recommend seeing this obscure and riveting film.

Arthur 1 and 2.
I love the scene when Arthur is with her at the chapel and the father of the woman he is supposed to be marrying walks in angrily and "Arthur" clings to Liza and watches the father Grab the knife out of the cheese wheel and asks Liza "Do you think he wants some cheese?" as he trembles and the man walks menacingly toward him.
I also loved her in the original Chicago.

"Cabaret" is the only Liza movie that matters!
By the way, Liza made her film debut at age 3 as the baby of Judy Garland and Van Johnson's character in "In the Good Old Summertime."

This movie "Tell me that you love me, Junie Moon" has remained forever in my soul. I constantly think about it and remember many scenes. I will never forget Liza Minnelli as a result of this movie, nor the brutality of violence to women.
