bakers dozen....
yes the clue is in the number as a baker uses 13 and not twelve ....
i think it was to do with the weights and measures act instead of putting in 12 as most of us do in a dozen they added a extra one to make sure the weight was correct..
i wish this practise was used in a lot of other products
i wouldnt mind a extra egg for my breakfast.. lol
