When I took an acting class in school, I once did a silly pantomime skit of a dissatisfied artist, painting at an "easel" in the style of Charlie Chaplin or Harold Lloyd.

Each time, I made a funny face, wiped off the imagined painting with an invisible "rag," and started over. Even approaching the canvas with my head turned, not looking, and randomly handpainting all over it. I repeated this several times, before finally giving up and wiping my hands clean, shaking my head.

But then I happen to unfold the rag. And look at the audience in revelation! I rejoice and tack the rag on the canvas to display on the easel. I dance and bow and blow kisses at my masterpiece.

The funniest thing was the class laughed and loved it, but it didn't fit the rules of the assignment so I had to redo it as something else. Go figure!
