first, think about your question, you have it right... kills brain cells, not to mention the legality of it. I personally have much more to spend my hard earned money on, then drinks or drugs. remember your just seeing the short term effects, remember this question in the long term...

The lungs get damaged from the smoking (also from breathing in a city). Politicians, doctors, presidents, scientists, cops, school teachers, secretaries,DMV employees (and I am sure more professions then this!) have all people who used/use marijuana.
Depends if it is mixed with anything. The street stuff who knows what this is....medical marijuana has to be documented and grown in approved atmospheres. When this is bought (and there is so many different kinds) one knows what they are getting.
There is so much negative propaganda out there put out by the government and pharmaceutical companies that the general public try and make arguments that is it bad for you, however it is not.
Know one has ever died from it. It does not make one stupid.
People are sheep and will believe what they read and see (commercials on TV for instance). This the government knows and does act upon.
Also those who use do not always want other harder drugs this is another one of those myths. Those who have went on to harder drugs wanted to go to harder drugs, the pot did not make them do this.
I use this only to control pain, anxiety, and to sleep (medical problems). I do not have to use a lot of this. A little lasts me forever!!
Only way I see it really hurting someone is loosing there job, family members putting them down, or over using it (so one just sits all day long. Eating takes the effect of being high away. Eyes blood shot and droopy. I never look this way! I have been on jury duty and still have to be for the next month or two). Oh and the public still thinks this is a addictive drug (see the rant above about people being sheep).

Pot interacts with a system in the brain which is connected with memory, as well as other things. Pot certainly hurts your memory in the short-term, that is, when you're stoned. Long-term studies have had mixed results when it comes to cognitive damage. Some studies have seen no damage, while others have seen evidence of slight damage in people who've been heavy smokers for decades.
Pot is almost certainly bad for your lungs, although a recent epidemiological study didn't turn up a connection with lung cancer.
The cannabinoid receptors that pot acts on exist throughout the body, and are involved in inflammation. One of the reasons why obesity is bad for your heart is that fat cells alter your blood chemistry in ways that promote inflamation and raise your cholesterol. A drug called "rimonabant" is an inhibitor of cannabinoid receptors, and seems to cause weight loss ~and~ prevent fat cells from promoting inflamation that can harm your heart. So it's a reasonable guess that pot is bad for your circulatory system and your heart... and anything that harms circulation in your brain harms your brain.
That said, the FDA failed to approve rimonabant in the US because they didn't like the side effect profile. Many people in the trial developed clinical depression, which can be a deadly disease -- and don't people smoke pot because it makes them feel good?

THESE STUPID PEOPLE CAN DO NOTHING BUT SPOUT GOVERNMENT PROPAGANDA maybe they need to kill some brain cells to wake it up. To date there has never been a study on the long term effects of using cannabis, and if any of these ignorant liars want to argue show your proof. there isn't any only government lies spread by stupid people incapable of self thought. The biggest problem is the government has decided along time ago it was bad so they will allow no testing, what testing has been done came back good for pot and the feds threw it out this also can be looked up and proven. They would rather keep us ignorant than admit they are wrong.
I know what you mean I smoke myself almost every day and have a better memory than everyone i know, and i never grew breast but look it up the feds said there testing showed marijuana to grow breast on men lol

It does not kill brain cells or cause any negative longterm effects. The smoke is bad for your lungs but there are other methods.

it depends on the person but dope lowers the amount of dopamine in the brain which is what transmits messages across the nerve cells and also causes lung cancer like smoking cigarettes... the affects are more long term.
