I want to send an article to print from wireless laptop running Win2000, to XP laptop with printer connected by USB. What are the steps to set this up?

You can share the LAN printers. Otherwhise sent the file to the other laptop and print it from there. If you wanna send a file to the other laptop share then the "Shared folders" to the network (e.g. WORKGROUP) and search a computer from Start>>>Search>>>Computers and map a drive then copy the file to that map and open it from the other laptop from the "Shared folder".

On the computer which the printer is wired to, right-click on the printer and choose Sharing, give it a share name. Make sure the two laptops are in the same Workgroup or Domain and that File and Printer Sharing is enabled (you don't have to share files on hard drives in order to share printers). Then on the other laptop go to Printers and Add Printer, Network printer, and browse to the computer name and printer name you selected. You will need to install the printer on both laptops if it doesn't use the built-in drivers.

thats easy, you can either send it through email, or a hard drive. those are the cheap free ones, but if you want to print it wireless then you would need a cable adapter to your printer. i think its 60 bucks at circuit city
