yes you can make it, but make sure you spend an extra hour working out in the weight room.
It will improve your jump shot. And in the NBA, shooters get PAID. We all know that one
Right now, im averaging 90% in inside shots now. Just about everything i shoot inside-goes in. Outside shots-im 60%.
I know what you are thinking, then why arent you on a basketball team?
Im trying out for a 1AA school, since i didnt play much at high school.
Here is a good shooting tip. Make sure your elbow is 90 degrees an "L" when setting up for a shot. Then when you jump slightly in the air, keep your body vertical, and extend your arm in an upward motion. Then follow through and flip your wrist so that it goes directly towards the basket. And concentrate on the basket and "see it" going in. And most of the time, youll make it.
I hope i helped cuz this helps me alot. Im a fundamental guy and i believe that will make you high-school material.

Yes you can, with practice.
For shooting, work on free throws and layups the most, since you say you can jump high you should have no problems getting fouled and finishing the shot. Free throw shooting not only affects your free throw shot but your general jump shot as well, use a free throw as a "form checker". Practice snapping the wrist and using the legs. For drills.. Just work on making shooting 150 free throws a day. Once you can make 5 in a row, I like to try see how many I can shoot with my eyes closed.
Coaches love kids that can make free throws in critical games.
For ball handling, play a game of 21 with a friend where you are only allowed to dribble with the left hand, if you use the right hand at all you have to run a suicide. Dribbling with your off hand is a crucial asset that almost every point guard has.
Work on spin dribbles (reverse) and cross over dribbles. Just keep using them and eventually you'll be able to increase the speed in which you execute them. Jog 2 miles dribbling a ball doing nothing but behind the back and crossover dribbles. Or use dribble using two basketballs.
The only way to get good is to "just do it."

depends on if your scool has good players, and since you are 5'8 you can maybe only play point guard so you need to be a good ball handeler. if you can handle the ball and have good floor vision you have a chance.

If your 5`8 your probably running point guard. If your pint guard you can improve your dribble by vision and PRACTICE. Shot will come with PRACTICE. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, And....PRACTICE.
