Mothers car wax has special waxes for fiberglass car that is what you need. At most autoparts stores or walmart just read the labels. Have fun polishing the car.

I've been using Meguair's for over 18 years (I've used all of the "name brand" waxes) and I haven't found a better wax system than this.

First I wash the car thoroughly with a good NEW (or at least one that has been cleaned VERY well) wash sponge and Meguiar's car wash. Then drive the car around town for 10-15 minutes to get most of the water out of all of the cracks and crevices (if any bugs have committed suicide on your car use the "Quick Detailer to remove them immediately). Then dry the car with a good CLEAN chamois (synthetics are fine). Next use the clay bar kit, it is time consuming but VERY, VERY much worth the effort. Then use the #26 high tech wax. Next polish and enjoy (if there is still any daylight left).

Use the "Quick Detailer" in between washes to remove the inevitable dust (just don't use if there is any dirt).
Always use good clean sponges, applicators, chamois and towels (I use the microfiber ones) and follow the directions.

Also the quick detailer is great for getting any wax off of the glass, rubber or plastic trim that you almost always get.

If you can't find Meguiar's the only other brand I would recommend using is Mother's. (If I had started out using Mother's , I would probably be singing their praises, instead of Meguiar's).

I have used ALL of the above applications. All are good except NU finish...That's for old, faded finishes.

I have found that Liquid Glass is an excellent and fairly easy to use material with results that last for an entire Summer...longer if garage kept. This is made for fiberglas and does not work well on my other metal car.

With any first time application of any material be sure to completely remove previous wax and/or polish. Then apply a cleaner/polish, then the final coats of Liquid Glass or wax.

This may sound a bit ridiculous but I use Turtle Carnuba car wax on my old school Huffy and it work so well I almost cry when I see it sparkle. Whats more is I bought it from Family Dollar for $3

depending on the finish on your vehicle. i would recommend anything that is clear coat safe. a liquid wax is a little easier to apply. If your vehicle is a little bit older try not to use a buffer because it will take off some finish on your vehicle. if you are wanting to take out scratches and swirls on the top of the vehicles then i recommend the polishing compound. don't get the rubbing compound it is really harsh. get the turtle wax polishing compund. it is a white compound. just be patience and great result will follow. i hope this helps.

As a professional detailer I would recommend SmartWax. Its an excellent 100% Carnauba based liquid wax. I use it on all my cars and bikes.

Edit: Dont use dishsoap for washing your car! It will strip the wax off the paint! Use a dedicated car was soap.

Pinnacle Souveran. This is a 100% brazilian irory carnauba wax. It is not a cleaner wax. you need to use the pinnacle paint cleanser first then the wax. Simply the best shine I have ever seen. cost more but well worth it.
