I agree I have used this term,
basically there is no way to stretch a board that is cut too short, The next time you cut a board too short and they say " use the board stretcher" , tell them OK and re-cut the right length and tell them that the board stretcher works great.

For those who like camping trips, It's like a "right handed smoke shifter" and "dehydrated water tablets"

It's usually found at a hardware store next to the left-handed hammers.
